Downtown Atlanta at night
Beautiful photo of Centennial Olympic Park and the buildings of downtown Atlanta (including my Fairlie-Poplar neighborhood) at night, from Flickr user matthewpwarner.
Looking at the larger version of this photo, I scanned it to see how many apartment or condo buildings I could count. I found three — which is the same number of high-rise parking decks I see here as well. I’d love for the residential buildings to outnumber high-rise parking in this view some day.
I’m a big believer in the idea that nothing is more important to the long-term economic health and overall vibrancy of downtown than bringing in more residents.
