Retro 1970s transit opposition
Reading a news story about an effort to bring bus rapid transit to Cobb County, I came across a blast from the past. The single (as of right now) comment on the news story was this:
What a fantastic way to rapidly bring inner city crime to the northern suburbs. Please tell me this is a cruel joke.
Because, of course, nothing says “gangsta” like taking a 30 minute ride on a commuter bus to steal a suburbanite’s TV.
I actually got a weird nostalgia trip reading this comment. It reminded me of crap I heard about MARTA during my youth in Cobb County. Everything old is new again.
