Look at the damage that took place when a 20-megaton bomb filled with asphalt was dropped on Atlanta in 1962. See that staggering destruction of connectivity in the neighborhoods? What a shame — and a what waste of the potential for Atlanta to grow in a more pedestrian-friendly way.
I wonder why the bomb debris was never cleaned up. Maybe some day.
